Be a Volunteer at the Home CIMA

At CIMA there’s always a lot of work to do, every day. That’s why the support of volunteer s is quite welcome.

Every year here at CIMA we receive an important number of people of different ages and countries. They stay in facilities that we have specially adapted for them and give us their valuable support of hard work with joy.

Because we work with children and youth is not only important but also a legal obligation that we ask for important documentation.

The procedure to be a volunteer working at CIMA is in general terms the following:

  • You, or an institution that back you, send an email or make us a phone call expressing your interest to be a volunteer and the range of time that you would like to spend with us.
  • We answer quickly indicating the documentation we require from you and, if necessary, from your institution.
  • That information will be checked here and we will also check the availability of space in the volunteer’s area as we have a limited capacity.
  • If everything goes fine we send you a positive response and wait for you with great happiness.

volunteerAt CIMA the volunteers have an independent area with fully equipped rooms, a small kitchen, and a common hall that is shared by all the volunteers.

You can eat the same food that we eat every day. However, if you wish, you can cook your own meals in the small volunteer’s kitchen.

There are also bathrooms only for the use of volunteers with hot water.
If you’re thinking into do some time of volunteer work at CIMA it will be great to have your support for our mission.

CIMA, not like some “institutions” or supposedly “NGO’s” DO NOT CHARGE for accepting volunteers. We recommend you to be careful when checking institutions or organizations to do volunteer work in Peru as some are not quite honest and make a profit using the noble intentions of volunteers.

If you want to support CIMA with your volunteer work, many thanks and we’re waiting for you. Thanks!
